Here is everything you need to know about buying or selling your saddles with us.

Buying a Saddle

All saddles are carefully selected and include a 7-day trial period (unless stated otherwise on the listing).

We recommend checking all measurements carefully before purchasing, as saddle fit can vary between horses and may require adjustment by a saddle fitter.

Payment must be made in full before the saddle is sent, trialled, or collected.

7-Day Trial & Returns

Returns & Refunds
 

  • Your 7-day trial period begins from the day your saddle is delivered.

  • If the saddle is not suitable, a Return Notification Form must be completed and submitted before the saddle is returned.

  • Saddles must be posted, couriered, or returned by appointment within the 7-day trial period.

  • Saddles must be returned in their original condition and packaging.

  • Failure to submit a Return Notification Form may delay or void your refund.

    If your return is approved, your refund will be processed less:
     

  • $59 administration and handling fee

  • Original postage costs (non-refundable)

  • Payment processing fees (non-refundable)

    Return postage costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

    A Return Notification Form is mandatory for all returns. Refunds cannot be processed without a completed form being submitted prior to the saddle being returned.

Delivery & Collection

  • Australia-wide shipping available

  • Shipping costs depend on the size of the saddle - $80 for Standard Size and $99 for Stock and Fenders Saddles - Please note: Stock and Fenders Saddles can only be shipped through large shipping option.

  • Gold Coast pick-up available (by appointment)

  • Local trial service available - we can bring up to 8 saddles to you ($75)

How it Works

​

  1. Submit the Sell Your Saddle form with:

    • Photos

    • Brand & details

    • Age (2010 or newer)

    • Your expected price

  2. We’ll review your saddle and make a fair wholesale offer

  3. If accepted, you send the saddle to us

  4. Once received and confirmed as described, payment is made within 24 hours

 

 

What we're looking for

  • Saddles located in Australia

  • Good condition

  • 2010 or newer

  • Minimum value of $500+

Please note:
We purchase at wholesale pricing to allow for resale margins, but always aim to offer a fair and reasonable price.

 

If you have a price in mind, we encourage you to include it in your submission.

Lay-By Option

We offer flexible lay-by options of 4, 6 or 8 weeks on eligible saddles.
 

Once your lay-by request has been approved, we will email you a Lay-By Agreement outlining the payment schedule and terms. Please contact us if you do not receive your agreement.
 

Payment Terms

  • A deposit is required to secure your saddle.

  • Repayments are made either weekly or fortnightly from the date of purchase, as agreed in your lay-by contract.

  • All payments must be made by the due dates specified in the agreement.
     

Important Information

  • Saddles purchased on lay-by are not available for trial during the lay-by period.

  • Lay-by purchases are non-refundable.

  • When you enter into a lay-by agreement, Saddles Australia Pre-Loved pays the saddle owner on your behalf and holds the saddle for you while payments are completed.

  • No interest is charged on lay-by purchases during the agreed 4, 6 or 8 week lay-by period.
     

Lay-By Cancellations

If you need to cancel your lay-by due to exceptional circumstances, a cancellation fee of 25% of the saddle purchase price, plus a $50 administration fee, will apply.
 

By entering into a lay-by agreement, you acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions.

 

 

Shipping & Collection Policy

How We Do It

We ship saddles Australia-wide using Australia Post or a suitable courier.

  • $80 flat rate shipping (Standard saddles)

  • $99 flat rate shipping (Stock and Fender saddles)

 
Please ensure the correct shipping option is selected at checkout. Stock and Fender saddles must be sent using the $99 option unless collecting in person.
 
All parcels require a signature on delivery for security.​
 
Collection
Pick-up is available from the Gold Coast, QLD by appointment only.
Please arrange a suitable time after purchase.
 
Ordering Information

  • One saddle per order/box

  • If you’d like to try multiple saddles, please place separate orders

  • Alternatively, you’re welcome to purchase another saddle if your first choice isn’t suitable
     

Additional Information

  • We currently ship within Australia and New Zealand only (No trials available for NZ)

  • Saddles are carefully packaged to ensure safe delivery
